No Soldier Is An Atheist Inside A Foxhole
Sunday, January 21st, 2007“Everyone is a soldier, a great warrior in the battle to live better lives…when trials come, no matter how prepared we are, we always look for some divine intervention to make it through”
(January 16, 2007)
With their heads up
Flags and their marching bands
So proudly pushing forward
With victory on their minds
Brave soldiers
Undaunted warriors
Prepared by perseverance
Schooled by the harshest conditions
These boys turned into men
Ready to battle and rumble
With Rifles and grenades
Their resolve stronger than ever
But without a doubt fear is imminent
The courage of these men tested
Limits of the human spirit stretched
Beyond today none in mind for tomorrow
When face to face with the enemy
Nothing is much safer
Than the ground they stand on
A ground they dug to tuck themselves in
No soldier is an atheist inside a foxhole
When these great warriors are surrounded
And the conflict seem favoring the other side
And when life seem to be the greatest sacrifice
They pray for mercy and ask to spare their lives
When their backs are against the wall
They call upon to whatever gods they believe in
And hope a divine wind will help them make it through
